Wild Strawberry - Sùbh-làir fiadhain
£5.00
Wild strawberry (Fragaria vesca) is a delicate perennial groundcover widely found across Scotland in woodland edges, grasslands, and hedgerows. It produces tiny, fragrant red berries in early summer, far more aromatic and intensely flavoured than many commercial strawberries.
The plants spread by runners, forming low mats of trifoliate leaves that also provide useful forage for wildlife. Though the fruits are small, their flavour and resilience make wild strawberry a charming addition to forest gardens and naturalised plantings.
